Top 10 Christmas Craft Fairs to Visit in Cornwall 2025

Updated: Sep 30

Now that Autumn has arrived, it's time to start thinking about Christmas. In this blog, I'd like to tell you about some really wonderful Christmas Craft Fairs right here in Cornwall; larger as well as smaller ones, and when they'll be happening.

A craft fair is a fantastic place to buy Christmas gifts: not only do you support the local economy and local makers, but you will also be able to able to ensure your gift is unique, sustainably produced and get to know the story behind it.

So, in no particular order, here are my top 10 Cornish Christmas Craft Fairs

  1. Makers Cornwall Christmas Fair

Penryn Campus, Sports Hall, Penryn 7-9 November

    ree

An early market to get you in the festive mood, complete with a giant Christmas tree, live music, great food (and cocktails) and around 70 of the best Cornish makers displaying their wares. GIlliflower Pottery has been lucky enough to be a part of this fair for the last three years and you can preview the ceramics I will be bringing along this year here.

  2. Truro Christmas Market (BIG Christmas Market)

Lemon Quay and surrounding areas, Truro, Fri 21 Nov - Wed 24 Dec

This outdoor market is ideal if you want to combine your Christmas shopping at the Fair with some high street shopping. In addition to some wonderful locally made gifts, you will find traditional Christmas food and drink and even a choir or two to serenade you.

  3. Fowey Christmas Market

    Fowey, 14 -16 November

You couldn't wish for a prettier setting than Fowey Christmas Market. Spread throughout Fowey Town Quay, Albert Quay and Webb Street venues, this market offers almost 100 regional traders offering food, drinks and festive gifts

Eden Project, St, Austell 19-20 November

Eden's spectacular setting is the backdrop for their annual Fair, raising funds for the Cornwall Community Foundation. Entry to the Eden Project is free for all Christmas Fair ticket holders, so buy yours soon on their website

Truro Cathedral, 14-16 November

St, Ives, Tregenna Castle 21-23 November

This beautifully curated market with 60 + local makers and traders is happening in two spectacular settings in Truro and St Ives this year.

Mount Pleasant Ecopark, Porthtowan 5-7 December

This is a great alternative to the High Street, and you will find local artists, crafters and upcyclers in this inspiring space. There will also be some delicious vegan street food in addition to the cafe, and some great music to keep you company.

Pencarrow House, Bodmin, 22-23 Novermber

Pencarrow House and Gardens will be opening their doors for the annual Christmas Fair. The house will be decked in Christmas finery and you'll find a living Christmas tree and a Green Father Christmas. The cafe will be open, and there will be plenty of locally produced food and drink, as well as a crafters tent.

Penzance, Acorn Theatre, 6 December

This will be the second time this lovely fair, organised by a collective of local artisans, runs. Smaller and more intimate than some of the other fairs, this a gem not to be missed.

Penrice Academy, St Austell, 22-23 November

This popular annual market has lots to offer: beautiful gifts, delicious food and entertainment including local choirs and musical groups, not to mention Santa in his Grotto!

Tremenheere Gallery, nr Gulval, Penzance 29-30 November

Wishlist returns to the beautiful Tremenheere Gallery for the fourth year. You can expect original art & prints, jewellery, ceramics, handmade clothes, books, food and produce of the highest quality here. The restaurant is also open and Ladydowns Christmas trees will be available too.

There are many more fiars planned for the Christmas season, but these are my picks for a guaranteed festive experience and the chance to buy some really special locally made gifts. So, get your calender out and start planing your festive fair visits for 2025!
