Pottery Lessons

If you fancy getting your hands dirty and a relaxed creative day in a beautiful setting, then a pottery experience here at Gilliflower Pottery may be for you. I don't run set dates, but can be flexible to accommodate you and up to 2 friends. I suggest either half a day, or even better, a morning followed by a lovely home cooked lunch, and back to the studio afterwards. I like to try to fit the experience to your needs and interests, but would normally recommend that we do some slab building and other hand-building techniques. I am happy to show you how to use the wheel, but like riding a bike, this needs lots of practice, and you will get more from the day focussing on other techniques.

This is what Margaret, celebrating her 80th birthday with friends, said about a recent Pottery Day:

'Dear Jana , thank you so much for yesterday , it was the most lovely experience for us and we all enjoyed it immensely . I think the format you planned was great, leaving room for our input and injecting your insights where needed . I think you offer a lovely experience for people in your beautiful surroundings .
