Wide rimmed bird bowl

This is a highly decorative bowl, ideal as a centre piece. The centre of the bowl is decorated with a sky blue slip, into which leaves have been carved. The wide rim is decorated by 3 grey birds in flight, as well circles and swirls in green and blue. Once again, a leaf pattern adorns the grey areas. The underside of the bowl shows similar bird and branch patterns. It is glazed in an iron rich tin glaze, and the rusty iron colour is visible particularly on the foot of the bowl. It stands 11cm tall and measures 29cm in width.
